DETROIT, MI, September 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Bobs Classic Kicks (BCK) announced today, that on October 3, 2012, the boutique shoe store will donate a voucher for one pair of sneakers to every Detroit Public High School student (DPS and EAA) that is in attendance on count day.
"This is the perfect time to give back to the city and invest in our future leaders. We want our kids to have every opportunity to receive a good education and become productive members of the community," according to Christian Dorsey and Jason Johnson, owners of BCK. "For us, this project simply means kids who need shoes will have them, literally moving them one step closer toward a diploma."
BCK is taking action with the Bob's "Kicks for Count Day" campaign where all Detroit public high school and Education Achievement Authority students will receive a pair of black leather, low-top Nike sneakers to celebrate Michigan Student Count Day. Generally, attendance records on this day determines state funding each school district receives, making the Student Count Day paramount to the financial stability of Detroit Public Schools and the Education Achievement Authority.
Every student who attends school for the entire day on October 3 will be eligible to take part in the Bob's "Kicks for Count Day" campaign.
