HOUSTON, TX, September 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc. today announced the promotion of Joseph E. Landes to Executive Vice-President of Technical Services for the newly formed SPL Technical Services Group.
Mr. Landes attended Southern Arkansas University, and has more than 35 years of experience in oil and gas measurement and laboratory analysis. Mr. Landes has been with SPL since 1995, first as Technical Director and then as Vice-President, Western Region.
As an industry expert, Mr. Landes has written and presented numerous technical papers for the Gas Processors Association (GPA) School of Chromatography, the American School of Gas Measurement Technology (ASGMT), and the International School on Hydrocarbon Measurement (ISHM). He also serves as an instructor and educator at the Petroleum Extension of the University of Texas (PETEX). He served as President of the Acadiana Flow Measurement Society, and currently holds leadership positions with American Petroleum Institute (API) Committee on Gas Fluids Measurement (COGFM), GPA Technical Section H, and is vice-chairman of GPA Technical Section B.
