With 12 years of experience in the legal, construction and utility industries, Theys has held a variety of accounting and management roles. Most recently, she served as a Program Manager at Progress Energy. Theys is involved with many professional organizations, including the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants and the Project Management Institute.
Theys received her bachelor's degree as well as her master's degree in accounting from NC State University. She is a licensed public accountant with the state of NC and holds certifications in Management Accounting and Program Management.
