LOS ANGELES, CA, October 08, 2010 (Press-News.org) It's official: Pardee Homes has been voted the favorite homebuilding company by some 11,000 respondents who took part in the Los Angeles Daily News annual poll of businesses serving the Greater San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles. Balloting in the paper and its website ran through the month of June, according to Tim Bearer, LA Daily News media consultant.
"We ask our readers to vote for their favorite businesses, and they tell us about everything from the area's best hospital to the best Mexican food," said Bearer. "This year, for the first time, we asked about new home developers, and Pardee Homes was the winner.
"People out there care, and they have taken note of Pardee's quality and care in developing their communities," he continued. "Our hats are off to Pardee Homes!"
"Reliable products and friendly service mean a lot to all of us, whether we're looking for a great little deli or searching for our family's new home," said Jim Bizzelle, vice president of community development for Pardee's LA/Ventura region. "Being the first new home builder to receive this Readers Choice designation is a wonderful honor, and a gratifying endorsement of our efforts to create quality for our customers and the communities in which we build."
Based in Los Angeles, Pardee Homes builds new homes and master-planned communities in the Los Angeles/Ventura counties region, offering choices for first-time buyers, move-up families and empty nesters. Repeatedly honored for quality design, planning and customer service, Pardee Homes is also widely known for its steadfast commitment to greener homes and more sustainable community development. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) named Pardee Green Building Advocate 2010 as part of NAHB's Green Building Awards.
Area home shoppers can look for a new home by Pardee Homes in two popular master-planned communities. In the Santa Clarita Valley is Fair Oaks Ranch, home to Laurel Park and Oak Crest. Priced from the upper $400,000s, Laurel Park homes offer approximately 1,830 to 2,432 square feet of living space with up to four bedrooms and three baths, plus attached garage. From the upper $500,000s, Oak Crest offers homes with approximately 3,211 to 3,960 square feet and up to six bedrooms and four baths, plus an attached garage.
Abundant lifestyle amenities include The Ranch at Fair Oaks Ranch recreational center, hundreds of acres of open space, preserved oak trees, Fair Oaks Ranch Park and Fair Oaks Ranch Community School. Fair Oaks Ranch is also convenient to freeways and Metrolink, and to local shopping, including the Plaza at Golden Valley, just next door to Fair Oaks Ranch.
Also available from Pardee Homes is the Ventura County master-planned community of Moorpark Highlands in Moorpark, with Cherry Hill new homes. Pricing is from the $600,000s at Cherry Hill, which offers gated entry and detached homes with up to five bedrooms and four baths, in plans ranging from approximately 2,607 to 3,479 square feet, plus an attached garage.
Moorpark Highlands features a scenic, elevated location in Ventura County, and the inviting combination of a quiet retreat that is also very convenient to everyday needs for shopping, dining and services, area freeways and Metrolink. Moorpark Highlands residents enjoy private neighborhood pool centers, multi-purpose trails and Mammoth Highlands Park, which has a lighted tennis court, a basketball court, a multi-use ball field and several play areas.
Buyers with Pardee Homes throughout the LA/Ventura counties region will benefit from the company's LivingSmart brand, which assures them of a greener new home that is more comfortable and efficient. LivingSmart's included and optional features enhance energy efficiency, interior air quality and overall performance and comfort under EnergySmart, EarthSmart, HealthSmart and WaterSmart groupings.
"We work hard to make our homes the preferred choice, and generations of buyers have helped by letting us know exactly what they want and need in a new home and neighborhood," said Joyce Mason, vice president of marketing for Pardee Homes. "Now we sincerely thank the Daily News readers for letting us know they appreciate our efforts!"
