SCHAUMBURG, IL, September 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Late last month, Rabine Group partnered with Heartland Blood Centers to hold its second blood drive at the Rabine Group headquarters in Schaumburg. During the summer months the blood banks are in desperate need of donations and the Rabine Group was pleased to be asked for the second year to hold a blood drive in the Schaumburg cafeteria location.
On August 30th, 23 volunteers, many of them Rabine Group members, came to the blood drive to help save lives. Out of the 23 volunteers, 20 people were able to donate blood. With the 20 units of blood donated, the Rabine Group was able to help 60 individuals.
The Rabine Group has a strong belief in corporate social responsibility. The Rabine Group Foundation was started in 2007 to help the Rabine Group put their belief into action. The Rabine Group Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting local and national charities in their philanthropy efforts.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, a nonprofit social services agency serving the people of Eastern North Carolina, welcomed two new board members during a meeting of the Board of Directors in August. Bishop Michael F. Burbidge installed Patrick Brown and Brother Virgil Siefker, GHM, as new board members at a Mass preceding the meeting.
