Sands as a federal program specialist. In his position, Sands will use his 17 years of experience to strategize company policies and procedures, as well as analyze federal project opportunities.
Sands spent his childhood in various locations in the United States and abroad, including Colorado, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and Spain. After graduating from Stanford University in Stanford, Calif., with his bachelor's degree, he received his master's degree in business administration from the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to joining SEPI Engineering & Construction, Sands served as company treasurer and president for a consulting firm specializing in federal contracting issues, as a contract administrator and small business liaison officer for a large engineering company, and as a federal contract manager for a large federal engineering and environmental remediation firm. Sands is the chairman of the Elbert County Economic Development Commission in Kiowa, Colo., and is a member of the Lion's Club, a secular organization focused on meeting the needs of communities domestically and abroad. He resides in Elizabeth, Colo., with his wife Christine.
