LOS ANGLES, CA, October 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) April Maxina launches a one-of-a-kind Kickstarter campaign on October 9, 2012 to raise $7,000.00 in 30 days for her photography book. The Book Of WRONG is the first and only book to literally take photographs that go from the stand up routine to the person underneath.
Maxina has developed an idea, never seen before, to incorporate stand up routines from some of the most significant voices in entertainment into photographs. The Book Of WRONG is a collection of 20 conceptual photographs and 70 portraits featuring stand up comedians as the models. The photographs in this book display gallows humor and show people how humor can help you cope with some of the "WRONG" things in life.
October 9, 2012 is the first opportunity for the public to take part in this project, winning exclusive collector's items by pledging anywhere from $1.00-$1,000.00. Pledges will be accepted through November 9, 2012. Kickstarter is one of the most innovative fundraising programs today giving pledge participants a reward for their pledge at any level.
April Maxina is a 26 year old artist currently living in Santa Monica, Ca. A Southern California girl, April was born in Glendale and raised in East L.A. Her work explores the idea that when dealing with traumatic experiences, it is better to laugh than cry. Maxina studied psychology from Cal State Northridge and photography at Mt. San Jacinto College. 5 years ago, Maxina ventured into digital photography working as an event photographer expanding her photography experiences in unique and fascinating ways.
