PERTH, AUSTRALIA, October 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Sunseekers planning a stay in the fine accommodation Perth has available next month should be sure to check out the Mindarie Marina Beach Volleyball Pro tournament.
The event will kick off on November 7th 2010 and is due to take place every Sunday, with some of the nation's best beach volleyball players set to show off their skills.
Winners will battle it out for the prestigious title of King and Queen of the Beach in a contest that the organisers claimed has never been seen before at the marina.
A specially designed "sand stadium" has been installed at the site in preparation for the tournament, with the work being undertaken throughout September.
It means that travellers staying in the cheap accommodation Perth has to offer can relax in the seated terrace, or lounge on a grassy slope with a beer as the action unfolds.
The organisers remarked: "It's everything we love about beach and bar culture - suntans, sand, beer and sexy bods!"
Teams will take part in the Beach Volleyball Pro between 12:00 and 18:00 local time every Sunday.
Mindarie Marina, which is located about an hour's drive north of Perth CBD, celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.
It was opened in 1989 by then premier of Western Australia Peter Dowding.
For more information on this event, visit the Mindarie Marina website or contact the organisers on (+61) 8 9305 9305.
