Sampan Security, Inc Announces FireTower Guard and FireTower Cyber Console, Zero-Day Attack Protection and Remote Network Management for Windows PCs

FireTower Guard offers automatic real-time protection against malware and Zero-Day attacks for Windows PCs while FireTower Cyber Console allows users to remotely manage FireTower Guard protected PCs through any internet-connected PC or tablet.

2012-10-17
NASHUA, NH, October 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) Sampan Security, Inc., a leading developer of cyber security and system recovery applications, today announced the availability of FireTower Guard and FireTower Cyber Console (CyCon) for Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP systems.

FireTower Guard is an endpoint security application for protecting Windows PCs against malware and Zero-Day attacks. FireTower Guard offers a unique advantage over competing anti-virus and anti-malware solutions with its ability to detect and quarantine previously undiscovered malware classified as Zero-Day attacks. This advantage is achieved through analyzing the behavior of incoming software rather than relying on the traditional method of signature-based malware detection.

In addition to detecting, quarantining and removing malware, FireTower Guard features advanced functionality such as:

- Autorun Settings Repository (ASR) - FireTower Guard compares incoming Autorun Entry insertions on your PC with the ASR white-list database to determine the level of risk of incoming software.
- Guard Profiles - Users can choose specific levels of security depending on their computing habits and security needs. Profiles range from completely "open" settings to tighter settings such as "Lockdown Mode" where all incoming software is prohibited.
- Upload a Snapshot - Allows users to take a "snapshot" of their system's current Autorun Settings and upload them to a cloud-based database where they can be shared with peers or support professionals for troubleshooting.
- Remote Management through CyCon (Optional Upgrade) - Manage a local or remote network of up to 3 FireTower Guard protected PCs through CyCon.

FireTower Cyber Console (CyCon) is an optional upgrade for FireTower Guard users that provides access to a powerful network management web application for monitoring and managing networks of up to 3 local or remote FireTower Guard protected PCs. CyCon is easy to use, displays critical information on the security status of individual PCs, provides powerful functionality such as malware quarantine and removal, and is easily accessed through any internet-connected PC or tablet with a compatible web browser.

FireTower Guard and FireTower Cyber Console were designed to meet the security and functionality needs of home office and small office power users.

FireTower Guard and FireTower Cyber Console are available through www.sampansecurity.com.

Sampan Security is focused on developing products that meet the challenges presented by state-of-the-art computer security threats. Our goal is to stay ahead of the curve and to provide people with cutting edge protection and peace of mind.

Sampan Security, Inc. is headquartered at 74 Northeastern Blvd, Nashua, NH 03062 USA.
