In his new role, McKay will work with other specialists across the firm to provide risk advisory services in enterprise risk management (ERM), internal audit outsourcing, Sarbanes-Oxley preparation, internal control design and implementation, IT audit and assurance services, as well as certain corporate forensic and anti-fraud control services.
A Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Internal Auditor, McKay served for seven years in financial leadership roles as corporate controller and as director of corporate audit for a large public, multinational semiconductor company before joining CB&H. Prior to that, he was a manager with a national accounting firm, where he performed audit, assurance and risk advisory services for both public and private companies in a variety of industries.
McKay received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of La Verne in Los Angeles and his Master of Accountancy from San Diego State University. He is a valued instructor and speaker for variety of risk management, internal audit, fraud, and forensic accounting topics and speaks at the national level for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), where he is a member of the AICPA's Risk Management and Internal Control Advisory Panel.
