-"Newly Appointed Supervisor Certification Program" is a two-day program that will help first-time supervisors and managers establish a strong foundation for success. The program will begin with a self assessment to identify strengths and important areas for growth to ensure a smooth and effective transition. Course participants will discuss basic supervisory skill building, strategies for building trust, communicating effectively, motivating and recognizing employees, delegating and managing conflict. Each attendee will develop action plans to better transfer lessons and skills back to their individual roles. -"2012 Triad Employment Law Update" is a full-day course that provides participants with updates on state and federal employment laws and issues, including: wage and hour laws; health care reform; the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA); the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); immigration; the National Labor Relations Act (NLRB); and the Equal Employee Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigations. -"Forklift Operator: Train the Trainer" is a full-day course that will give participants the needed formal training for serving as a designated forklift trainer. During the course, which is based on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Revised Standard for Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training, participants will review the formal, or classroom, section of the required forklift training to learn how to become an effective instructor. -"Team Leader Certification Program" is a two-day certification program that will prepare team leaders to perform at a higher level.
