Fluid Hose & Coupling, Inc. Introduces New Abrasion, Corrosion Resistant Transfer Hose For North American Market

New technology, materials help users avoid constant replacement of hose

2012-10-23
MISSISSAUGA, ON, October 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) Fluid Hose & Coupling, Inc., a major Canadian industrial hose distributor, has introduced Coreblast transfer hose to the North American market.

Coreblast is an industrial waste and raw material transfer hose that is highly corrosion and abrasion resistant, allowing extended usage and thereby avoiding constant replacement. Coreblast is used primarily for sandblasting and shot blasting operations as well as blowing coke (iron residue) and mending material into blast furnaces. Also, it is suitable for suction and delivery of a variety of extremely abrasive products.

"This hose reflects an innovative use of new technology combined with a solid design and use of materials in delivering a cost-effective product," said Joe Pasternak, president and CEO of Fluid Hose & Coupling, Inc. "In our tests of Coreblast in shot blasting applications, after 10 months of continuous usage, there was almost no abrasion damage to the hose."

Coreblast is produced with a high quality polyurethane tube and reinforced with steel wire helix. The cover is corrugated CR black that is abrasion, aging, ozone and flame resistant. It is completed with a distinctive cloth finish. Coreblast can handle a temperature between -30°C and +100°C, and has a vacuum tolerance of -0.8 bar. The hose meets RMA CLASS 511-A for ID dimensional tolerance.

Coreblast hose is proprietary to Fluid Hose & Coupling throughout North America.
