New Press Brake provides flexibility and will increase productivity

2012-11-04
PROVO, UT, November 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) ProSteel Security Products, a leading manufacturer of security, vault and tornado doors and makers of the Browning ProSteel gun safes, today announced the arrival and installation of a new Trumpf press brake.

A press brake is a machine tool for bending steel plates and sheet metal. The new press brake, a nearly 18 ton machine, also has two lift assists to help the operators of the machine. Most of the products made in ProSteel's manufacturing facility use some form of bent metal whether it is a safe or door. The new press brake will be able to provide higher accuracy bent parts at a faster speed.

"The implementation of the new press brake gives ProSteel more capacity and flexibility in the parts that we make and will increase our productivity," said Rick Stepp, Vice President of Operations and Engineering at ProSteel Security Products. "As we continue to develop and manufacture new products and new product versions, the new press brake will be a vital part of our manufacturing process."

ProSteel Security Products manufactures steel tornado, security and vault doors as well as Browning ProSteel Safes. Every safe made at ProSteel, evaluated for compliance to the appropriate UL standard, will benefit from the new highly accurate and faster machine.
