SCOTTSDALE, AZ, November 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Jake Psenka N.D. is the chosen alumnus at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine's featured in their Fall SCNM Now 2012 issue. He also spoke to Medical Students there for Ground Rounds on molecular allergy and applications for food allergy and sublingual immunotherapy, Friday, November 2nd.
"Being a featured alumni is wonderful, and the opportunity to speak with current students about my experience in practice is very exciting ,"said Dr. Psenka.
Upon graduating from naturopathic medical school Dr. Psenka cofounded the Issels Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Originating in Germany in the 1950's, the Issels Integrative Immunotherapy Model was one of the first truly holistic cancer treatments- utilizing the best of both alternative and conventional medicine.
In 2007 Dr. Psenka began recruiting some of the top naturopathic physicians in the country and started Longevity Medical Health Center. This Phoenix based health center is now home of 6 amazing doctors and has an international patient base.
Dr. Psenka has always been actively involved in his profession, serving as both a board member and the Vice President of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association. More recently, Dr. Psenka was a co-developer of Serologix, LLC, a company offering patient-specific sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) allergy treatments for allergy sufferers.
He has often lectured at medical conferences on both integrative cancer therapies and allergy immunotherapy. He has taught at the university level, including instructing 4th year student physicians for his alma mater.
Dr. Psenka is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, The Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Wilderness Medical Society, and the American College for the Advancement of Medicine. Also, in 2010 Phoenix Magazine recognized Dr. Psenka as one of the Top Docs in Arizona.
