MIAMI BEACH, FL, November 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Worldwide Properties, a full-service real estate brokerage specializing in the sales and rentals of luxury condominiums, has announced the successful closing on a 2,145-square-foot residence in Icon South Beach for $2.7 million after only being on the market for 21 days. The sale equates to almost $1,260-per-square-foot, which is a new record high for the building, said Eddy Martinez, Worldwide Properties' broker and CEO, who represented the local seller in the all-cash deal. The celebrity buyer was not disclosed due to a confidentiality agreement.
"The rapid sale of the residence at Icon continues to prove that the market in Miami Beach is hot, especially in the ultra-luxury price range," Martinez said. "The unit sold quickly after a complete, top-to-bottom designer renovation."
The extensive renovation included a complete remodel of the kitchen with top-of-line appliances and fixtures, mosaic tile treatments in the bathrooms and a unique BMW metallic paint application to the doors in the semi-private elevator lobby. The corner residence features three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, an 800-square-foot wrap-around terrace and boasts views of the Miami Beach Marina, Fisher Island, Government Cut and the Miami skyline.
Icon South Beach, located in the highly desirable "South of Fifth" neighborhood of Miami Beach, is situated on a seven-acre site with 1,000 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage. The property features a heated infinity-edge swimming pool, a lap pool, poolside bar and grill, state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, billiard room, conference room, 24-hour security and full-service concierge. Celebrated French designer Philippe Starck created the interiors of the common spaces throughout the building.
