"Plowed" Hit-Makers Sponge to Rock Ramona Mainstage on 11/17/12

Band to Perform Hit CD "Rotting Piñata" in Its Entirety

2012-11-11
FERNDALE, MI, November 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Modern rockers Sponge will headline Ramona Mainstage on Saturday November 17, 2012. General admission tickets are $25 in advance and are now available at the venue's box office and online at Ramonamainstage.com. Sponge will be performing their smash, breakthrough hit CD "Rotting Piñata" in it's entirety.

Hailing from Detroit, Sponge gained widespread notoriety when their debut album "Rotting Piñata," fueled hits "Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles)," receiving massive airplay on radio stations from coast to coast. Videos for both tracks were in heavy rotation on MTV in the late 90's. After "Rotting Piñata" went Gold, the band toured internationally, and followed up with the critically lauded CD "Wax Ecstatic," garnering additional hits "Wax Ecstatic" and "Have You Seen Mary?"

Sponge are now touring in support of their latest EP - featuring the single "Destroy the Boy," currently available on Itunes and at shows. A mainstay on commercial rock radio, Sponge continues to stand out as one of rock's most charismatic live acts, with lead singer Vinnie Dombroski's powerful voice, heart-on-his- sleeve lyrics and full throttle stage captivating audiences the world over.

Sponge are once again red hot - with "Plowed" featured in the new movie "Chasing Mavericks" starring Gerard Butler and a national appearance on Speed TV for NASCAR.

In addition to performing "Rotting Pinata" in its entirety, Sponge will play hits old and new - live and up close at Ramona Mainstage.

Ramona Mainstage is located at 626 Main St. in Ramona, California.
