LOS ANGELES, CA, October 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) The talented actors and actresses from the Cinema City International Film Festival Mentor Program displayed their talents in the feature film The Grief Tourist, starring Mike Cudlitz and Melanie Griffith. The film chronicles Jim Tahana, a disturbed and troubled soul who retraces the footsteps of serial killers who fascinate him as his hobby. His dark obsession with past killers soon becomes his reality and leads viewers on a menacing and horrific journey inside his twisted mind. The film is produced by Vision Entertainment and Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions.
Samantha Lester plays opposite Melanie Griffith as a waitress, while her mother, Sylvia Lester, Is featured with a stunning soliloquy as a former alcoholic. Brad Bufanda plays the grief tourist himself, while Ken Garcia and Marc Mazur appear as crime scene detectives. Stefanie Kleine plays opposite Mike Cudlitz as his hotel housekeeper.
Vision Entertainment Group founders and producers Zachery Bryan (Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift, The Game of their Lives, Held For Ransom) and Adam Targum (writer/producer Standof, Eleventh Hour, CSI:NY, The Good Student) team up with Suzanne De Laurentiis (10th & Wolf, Soul Fire Rising, I Believe in America, Shut Up and Kiss Me!) and Michael Cudlitz to produce the psycho thriller.
Other featured roles were played by Brian Hall, Maxine English, Abagail Schrader, Howie Cullen, Blanca Gomez, Anna Rogers, Madalon and Nadalon Formby, Jason Edwards, Zorion Formby, and Anni Cyrus, Danielle Lester, Shannon McNulty, Joan Brown McCarthy, Catherine Tallichet, Chris Hayes, and Suzan Sheffs. The film is due for release sometime next year.
