RALEIGH, NC, December 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that it will serve as a dashboard sponsor for the AT&T Raleigh Winterfest event. A premier holiday activity for the local community, AT&T Raleigh Winterfest is a two-month extravaganza featuring an outdoor ice skating rink. Located in the City Plaza of downtown Raleigh, the event will kick off on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and attendees will see performances by William Peace University cheerleaders.
The kick-off will include performances from local vocal and dance groups, a carousel and bounce house for children, carriage rides, sledding ramps and the opportunity to visit Santa's Village. Attendees can enjoy the holiday boulevard of shops which will include more than 40 vendors and local restaurants with a variety of crafts, foods and gift items as well as an outdoor screening of the movie The Polar Express. Admission tickets will be $8 for both adults and children and will include skate rentals.
