New Electronic Cigarette Brand Targets Women Smokers

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, December 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Is the world ready for another electronic cigarette brand? Vaping Vamps owner and 'lead vamp' Maria Verven thinks so.

Recent studies have shown that electronic cigarettes are effective in helping smokers quit or reduce their smoking: in a major study with 3,587 participants, 96 percent said the e cigarette helped them to quit smoking. Yet the NRT methods approved by the FDA are "simply not helpful to the majority of those who try them," according to Drs. Whelan and Ross of the American Council on Science and Health (ACSH).

In a letter written to the FDA urging them to reconsider their stance on electronic cigarettes, Drs. Whelan and Ross of ACSH state, "The truth is, e cigarettes have the potential to help the 20 percent of Americans who remain addicted to smoking".
