LONDON, ENGLAND, December 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) In accordance with the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Mikogo has received the ISO 9001:2008 certification in recognition of its quality management system and continued focus on client satisfaction. The certification is highly regarded for its rigid auditing practices, which investigate each company's ability to, among other things, determine customer requirements, make decisions based on extensive recorded data, and respond to customer inquiries and feedback.
Mikogo was first officially recognized for the ISO 9001:2008 Certification in 2010 by TÜV SÜD, an independent third party certification body. TÜV SÜD was again the party who just this year conducted a comprehensive audit of Mikogo's quality management practices covering all areas in the company's development, operations, sales and support. TÜV SÜD commended Mikogo in particular for the development of its product based on customer feedback, its use of quality assurance to guarantee the maintenance of the highest quality standards, and its rigorous tracking of key performance indicators.
The importance of official certifications continues to grow as more players enter the marketplace, which has especially been the case in the web conferencing industry over the past several years. Mikogo, which provides its products and services to clients in over 180 countries, is pleased to have been re-certified for ISO 9001 given the number of exciting advances the company has made in 2012, including the recent launch of the voice-over IP function and Mikogo's addition to the first-ever Windows Store.
"The ISO 9001:2008 certification is important to Mikogo as it assures our customers and users that their satisfaction is our primary objective, and that we are focused on developing the product based on the highest standards," explains Mark Zondler, Mikogo's Managing Director. "We pride ourselves in delivering an outstanding product to a crowded marketplace, and believe that this is an achievement that helps differentiate us from the rest."
Given that the ISO 9001:2008 Certification is an internationally recognized standard for quality management, the Certification reassures prospects and clients all around the world that the Mikogo software is secure for business use and gives the company that vital competitive edge.
