"Santa's Secret Sled" starts with a contest between two of Santa's chief elf designers, Bucky and Orchid, who seek a new form of accelerated sled power capable of continuing the legacy of the old sled and reindeer. Bucky's Ruby laser system, tied to the four power centers of planet Earth, wins the contest. Orchid's solid fuel sled fails and the brilliant yet misguided elf runs away from the North Pole - with Santa's secret Book of Changes.

Meanwhile, Santa and his elves devise wondrous, even miraculous, toys to bring new Christmas excitement to the children of the world. And through the miracles of modern science, a revolutionary new form of delivery is developed.

What follows is a race against time as the elves embark on their journeys to find the Ruby Keys that fuel the new sled. Needless to say, trouble brews at the North Pole and the future of Christmas as we know it is put in jeopardy. And Santa is faced with the most difficult decision of his life - to save his family or to save Christmas.

Oscar-winning animator Bruce Lyon and award-winning photographer/author David Goggin have written a story which reinvents the myth of Santa Claus for a modern generation - while still retaining the time-honored spirit of the past.
