NAPLES, FL, December 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) A non-surgical alternative to liposuction called CoolSculpting has proved to be exceptionally successful for Kent V. Hasen, M.D., a plastic surgeon and body contouring specialist in Naples.
The non-invasive treatment targets fat cells and freezes them, using an applicator with cooling panels. Once frozen, the fat cells die off and are naturally metabolized by the body over the course of a few months. Discomfort is minimal to nonexistent during CoolSculpting sessions, and patients can usually resume normal activities immediately following their treatments. While repeat treatments can continue to improve results for many patients, the visible changes are often dramatic after just one session.
"CoolSculpting has been a welcome addition to my practice," Dr. Hasen says. "We've seen some tremendous results with this technique. In fact, Zeltiq, the maker of CoolSculpting, has chosen our before-and-after photos as a testament to the procedure's efficacy for its worldwide marketing campaign."
Demand for the treatment has been so high at Dr. Hasen's practice, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of Naples, that he has purchased a second CoolSculpting machine.
"With the additional machine, we can 'Dual Sculpt,' which allows us to treat more areas in less time and at a lower cost," he says. "My patients appreciate the possibility of treating multiple areas at once. For example, a patient who wants treatment on two areas of the body can have both treated simultaneously. This can amount to a fraction of the time in the office."
Dr. Hasen has launched a new website, www.freezefatinflorida.com. The site is dedicated to explaining the benefits of CoolSculpting and how it can be used as a liposuction alternative for his Naples patients.
The practice has also purchased Zeltiq's CoolCurve+ attachment to enhance CoolSculpting treatments.
"CoolCurve+ is the newest CoolSculpting applicator," Dr. Hasen says. "It allows for better efficacy in the love handle region and, ultimately, further customization of our CoolSculpting treatments in Naples."
Dr. Hasen attributes much of his practice's success with CoolSculpting to his extensive body-contouring experience.
"CoolSculpting is an incredibly effective body contouring tool, but it becomes even more effective in the hands of a board-certified plastic surgeon," he says. "I am fortunate to have a loyal, longstanding patient base that has given me the experience required to create dramatic but natural-looking results with this body-contouring method."
Kent V. Hasen, M.D., is a Naples, Florida, plastic surgeon and medical director of a full-service aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic practice, which has gained a strong reputation in South Florida since opening in 2002. Dr. Hasen is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and was named one of the "Top 40 Under 40" in 2006 by Southwest Florida's Gulfshore Business Magazine. Dr. Hasen offers medical spa services and cosmetic surgery for the face, breast and body.
