Young Risk Taker Earns The Entrepreneur's Source Client of the Year Award

Blake Metsch recently earned the prestigious Client of the Year award from The Entrepreneur's Source (E-Source), North America's leading career and franchise business coaching company.

2013-01-04
FORT COLLINS, CO, January 04, 2013 (Press-News.org) After losing his job in the financial industry, Blake Metsch took control of his destiny and made a bold career change, earning him the prestigious Client of the Year award from The Entrepreneur's Source (E-Source), North America's leading career and franchise business coaching company.

With ongoing help and guidance from E-Source and a partnership with his parents, Blake opened Tutor Doctor of Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming in September 2011, a daring move for a 26-year-old entrepreneur with no business ownership experience. Success came quick, and in just one year Metsch's company had contracted over 50 tutors and provided services to more than 130 students. E-Source recognized Metsch's success and determination during its recent Annual Conference at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

"It is fairly uncommon for a person in their mid-20's to pursue entrepreneurship—Blake is different than others his age and by taking a risk, he was able to start and maintain a thriving business," said Brian Miller, chief operating officer for E-Source. "Blake recognized an opportunity to invest in a business that provides a much needed service and allows him to build a foundation for a bright future."

After Metsch was laid off from his financial job in California, he began looking through his severance package materials for job placement resources and came across a seminar featuring Ed Echt, an E-Source Coach for the Greater Los Angeles area. Making a split-second decision, Metsch attended the seminar and was inspired by Echt's words on how to become your own boss. The two connected after the seminar and Metsch's journey to entrepreneurship began with the E-Source discovery process. The E-Source discovery process empowers clients to reinvent themselves by working on the You 2.0 version of themselves and learning about various franchise opportunities and business models. They can see which models meet their desired Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity goals. As a result, Metsch discovered Tutor Doctor. The franchise seemed like a perfect fit, especially since Metsch struggled with reading as a child and always wanted a way to help kids with similar struggles. He saw this as a prime opportunity to help students achieve their academic goals.

"I couldn't be more honored and thankful to be receiving this award. I have always been passionate about this business and helping students - receiving this award is just the icing on the cake," Metsch said.

Metsch was nominated for the E-Source Client of the Year award because he is determined, accomplished and passionate. He set goals for himself and didn't stop until he achieved them. Echt added, "Blake is proof that if you have a passion for your business and are energized about your future, you will find yourself on the path to success."
