Some of his clients include industry leaders like Qtrax, which offers free and legal music on line to consumers in 66 countries, in an advertising supported environment; The New York Philharmonic; singer/songwriter Jimmy Webb, Chairman of the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, and Vice Chairman of ASCAP; Amy Atlas, "The Sweets Stylist" and Brian and Eddie Holland, noted songwriters for The Supremes, The Four Tops and many other important performers. Mr. Jacobson also represents Ibiza United, which operates nightclubs in Spain, and is opening two nightclubs in New York City, as well as two music festivals in Croatia and Columbia.

As a result of Mr. Jacobson's broad business and legal background, he is frequently sought out as an advisor by a diverse group of individuals and companies in connection with production, licensing, financing, recording, distributing, publishing, joint venture, personal service and related contracts. He has unique experience and expertise in handling the purchase and sale of music publishing catalogs and the financing, production and distribution of filmed entertainment. He is also well known for his strong experience with regard to the approval and disaffirmance of minors' contracts.

Mr. Jacobson graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his JD from New York University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in three states: New York, California (inactive) and Florida (inactive). Mr. Jacobson is the Founding Chairman of the NYS Bar Association Section on Entertainment Arts & Sports Law. In his capacity as the former General Counsel, Chief Financial Officer and SVP of Public Policy for a major online service, Mr. Jacobson was among the pioneers in digital media law, and was a principal draftsman of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Due to his unparalleled experience in the field, he was called upon to offer expert testimony before Congress and WIPO regarding the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. An invited lecturer at industry conferences across the country on issues relating to entertainment and digital media law, Mr. Jacobson also served as Adjunct Professor of Entertainment Law at Fordham University Law School, CUNY Law School and The New School.
