RALEIGH, NC, August 21, 2010 (Press-News.org) Grubb & Ellis|Thomas Linderman Graham, a leading Triangle real estate services firm, announced today that Shane Bull, real estate advisor, recently represented Dawson Developers to broker a 1,560 square-foot space for Dapper Style House. Dapper will open in September in The Dawson, a retail and residential condominium located at the intersection of three of downtown Raleigh's most exciting districts—Glenwood South, The Warehouse District, and City Center. Kenneth Fain of Rankin Commercial Properties represented the tenant. George Richards, senior vice president, retail team leader for Grubb & Ellis|Thomas Linderman Graham, assisted Bull with the lease.
Dapper operating manager, Betzi Hekman, describes Dapper as "Downtown Raleigh's best new neighbor". Dapper is a combination men's and women's clothing store and upscale bar. Clients may order one of Dapper's many specialty cocktails or a microbrew while browsing the store's extensive line of men's high-end denim and women's fashionable, yet affordable dresses. The "bar and boutique" mix makes Dapper one of the most unique and rewarding shopping experiences in Raleigh. Hekman says the store will carry such fashion lines as Nudie Jeans, French Connection, JBrand, Gant, and Julie Patel's own edgy dress line and is changing the way folks shop by offering 20% off to everyone in the retail, bar, and restaurant biz during their weekly specials.
"We want people to feel welcome as soon as they walk into Dapper. We are creating a space where you can just be yourself" says Hekman. "Our goal is to have our neighbors come in, shop at ease, and feel free to just hang out. We want to be more than a store. We want to be the perfect place to unwind—that friend down the street that you come by and visit and have a good time with."
Dapper is owned by Gaurav "G" Patel, president of Eschelon Hospitality. Bull said that bringing Dapper to The Dawson not only gave him the chance to work with a growing company like Eschelon Hospitality, but it also provided him with another opportunity to work with Gregg Sandreuter, original developer of The Dawson and owner of the retail unit. Bull says that he always looks forward to working with Sandreuter to attract and bring businesses to downtown Raleigh.
"It was a pleasure working with Gregg and helping him lease the retail space in The Dawson to Dapper," says Bull. "Finding such a unique and dynamic business like Dapper truly reinforces the
Downtown Raleigh Alliance's vision for the city as 'a treasure trove of wonderful surprises'. Dapper is indeed one of downtown Raleigh's 'wonderful surprises', and I'm proud that they have decided to call downtown Raleigh and The Dawson home."
Sandreuter says that he was equally pleased to have been able to work with Bull again and appreciates his work ethic and vast knowledge of the downtown area.
"Shane is a hard working, diligent, top-drawer professional with exceptional character," says Sandreuter. "He knows the users, he knows the buildings, and he knows the marketplace. Shane's ability to see deals from an owner's perspective and to move a deal to signature makes him an invaluable business partner."
Dapper Style House will be located at 317 West Morgan Street in downtown Raleigh. Individuals can follow Dapper on facebook by visiting http://www.facebook.com/DapperStyleHouse?v=info).
