MT. OLIVE, NJ, January 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) intrinsically safe pressure transmitters for low pressure ranges are now available with ½" NPT Male and 1/4" BSPP male process connections. The non-incendive version of the low pressure series, the AST43LP will also share the same update. The process connections were added to the product line due to an increase in demand. With the process connections available on AST's other intrinsically safe and non-incendive products, it is a natural extension of available options.
The ½" NPT male process connection is a popular option in North America for AST pressure transmitters due to its open, non-clogging cavity design. The new option gives engineers the ability to consolidate their adapter options and simplify integration of the transmitter.
