UPPER SANDUSKY, OH, January 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) Fairhaven Community, an Ohio-based nonprofit dedicated to celebrating the spirit of older adults, is pleased to welcome Cydney Bare as interim administrator of the community.
Bare joins Fairhaven, a United Church Homes community, with several years of experience working with older adults. Most recently she served as the administrator of Westlake Healthcare Center in Westlake, Ohio. She earned a Master of Business Administration in finance and marketing from Case Western Reserve University in 2000 and a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from the University of Rochester in 1995. Since 2009, Bare has been certified as a nursing home administrator through the American College of Health Care Administrators and is currently president of the Ohio chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators.
"Cydney joins Fairhaven with a background of solid leadership and has worked with a number of nursing communities in Ohio," says the Rev. Kenneth Daniel, United Church Homes president and CEO. "I am pleased that she is able to help us during this interim period at Fairhaven."
Bare lives in Westlake, Ohio with her therapy dog, Norman. Norman will also join the Fairhaven family for its resident pet therapy program.
"My grandparents lived at Fairhaven and I have family in Upper Sandusky," Bare says. "There is a long legacy here, and I look forward to supporting all the good things already going on in the interim."
Fairhaven Community is a nonprofit organization providing, primarily to adults, housing, health care and other services which are responsive to the needs of the whole person and based on Christian values. Founded in 1916, Fairhaven is a community of United Church Homes, one of the largest providers of senior living. Fairhaven currently serves more than 185 seniors.
