Haskell & White Hires 30-Year Industry Veteran Helen Adams to Lead San Diego Expansion

Adams to serve as the firm's San Diego area managing partner.

TUSTIN, CA, January 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) Haskell & White LLP, one of Southern California's largest independently owned accounting, auditing and tax consulting firms, has hired industry veteran Helen C. Hutchison Adams, CPA, as its San Diego area managing partner. Adams will oversee the expansion of the firm's San Diego practice, coordinating the direction of San Diego client services utilizing her leadership experience in the accounting and auditing profession.

"The addition of Helen Adams infuses our team with more than three decades of experience serving the industries that are at the pulse of the San Diego economy, specifically in the area of science and technology." said Haskell & White's managing partner Wayne Pinnell. Haskell & White opened its San Diego office in 2008 and currently serves a diverse client base with audit, tax and SOX consulting services. The office will leverage Adams' financial services and advisory experience serving companies in the technology, life science, clean-tech, alternative energy and real estate industries.

Prior to joining Haskell & White, Adams served as an audit partner with Deloitte, where she was involved with IPOs and secondary offerings, M&A transactions and litigation consulting services. She also worked with a range of public and private clients to establish accounting and financial controls and advise on corporate strategy.

An active member of the San Diego community, Adams is the audit committee chair and member of the compensation committee for San Diego based public company LRAD Corporation. She has also served as chairman of the board of Athena San Diego, an organization supporting the advancement of women in the fields of science and technology, as chairman of Deloitte's San Diego FAST 50 Program, and has worked with other local organizations such as Make A Wish, The Senior Community Centers, Chairmen's Roundtable, Software San Diego, LEAD and the YWCA of San Diego. She is currently a member of the California State University San Marcos Foundation Board, the Membership Committee of Corporate Directors' Forum and is an executive board member of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest.
