BURNSVILLE, MN, January 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) Mackin Educational Resources has expanded its New School Services & Special Projects Department with the addition of new staff. Formerly known as Opening Day Collections, the department recently underwent a name change and personnel expansion to better reflect its mission and services.
"More than 25 years ago, Mackin created and shaped the collection management model to include analysis and development components," said Randal Heise, president and co-owner of Mackin. "With increased demand for Mackin's collection management expertise, and the speed at which our digital market is growing, adding more team members was essential."
New School Services & Special Projects will continue to build and install opening day collections for schools, classrooms, and libraries. However, its reach will go beyond initial collection analysis and development to include collection management of print and digital resources once a facility has been established.
Over the course of nearly three decades, Mackin's education and library professionals have mastered collection analysis, development, and management of schools' and libraries' print collections, large and small. As the popularity of digital resources surged, customers naturally turned to Mackin for trustworthy guidance and assistance. Today, Mackin applies the same care and professionalism to all collections regardless of format, size, or budget.
