TV Choice Press Release W/C 23 October 2010 No more Wylde times for Amanda Donohoe

When she joined Emmerdale two years ago Amanda Donohoe brought a touch of Hollywood to Yorkshire. But now the actress tells TV Choice why she is quitting her role as killer wife Natasha Wylde.

2010-10-20
LONDON, ENGLAND, October 20, 2010 (Press-News.org) 'I live in Suffolk, and it was a four-hour drive door-to-door,' explains Amanda, who worked in LA for 12 years and whose credits include Liar Liar with Jim Carrey and TV series LA Law.
'There really isn't a way of having a life and doing this job if you're commuting, and that's why so many of the cast move up north. At the moment, I don't think it's something I can do - all the people I love are in the south.'

Also in this week's TV Choice, Julian Clary and Jodie Kidd tell us about the celebrity road trip show Monte Carlo Or Bust, while Jo Brand returns with NHS-based comedy Getting On. My Family's Zoe Wanamaker stars in Agatha Christie's Poirot, and Davina McCall has more cash to give away in The Million Pound Drop.

Doctor Who Matt Smith guests in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Amanda Lamb chats about her new cookery show Street Market Chefs, and comic Stephen K Amos has his own BBC series. Comic Russell Kane delves into whacky obsessions in Freak Like Me, while Si King and Dave Myers introduce their new cooking contest The Hairy Bikers' Cook Off.

In the soaps, Nathan makes a confession in Emmerdale, while Janine puts herself, Ryan and Lily in danger in EastEnders. Kylie wants to sell her son in Corrie, and Jasmine is blackmailed in Hollyoaks. Baby Izzie is snatched in Doctors. Diana is arrested in Neighbours, and Alf wants to confront Penn in Home And Away.

There is also a luxury break to Zurich to be won in this week's TV Choice competition.
Ends

Launched in 1999 TV Choice has become the essential companion to the UK's favourite past-time, with TV listings for all major terrestrial and digital channels. Now the UK's biggest selling consumer magazine, TV Choice sells over 1.3 million copies per week.
