REYNOLDSBURG, OH, January 21, 2013 (Press-News.org) Canvas Stretching Machine will demonstrate their Production Series at the West Coast Art & Frame Show at the Mirage in Las Vegas Jan. 28-30 2013. These changes improve the overall performance and reduce the range of motion required to operate.
The demand for prints on canvas and stretched art on canvas has never been more in demand. New businesses are formed every month to compete for their share of print-on-demand business and to bid on corporate jobs. Large corporations prefer gallery wrapped art for its clean look and lower production cost. With this demand comes the need to fulfill orders quickly and efficiently and to their credit they sought a solution.
CSM launched their Production Series to satisfy their customers by reducing the range of motion required to stretch canvas. The most notable change to their base machine was the relocation of the controls. Now, an operator can clamp and stretch the canvas with two foot pedals centrally located beneath the machine. Another standard feature is the addition of a two-stage control box mounted on an articulating arm. The operator can select between two pre-set pressure points with just a flip of a switch, or, they can change these set-points to suit their specific needs. The production series also comes with a universal bench-mount that quickly mounts to the face of nearly any work surface. In this position it is now possible to suspend a long-nosed staple gun with a quick-release holster. This is an optional item and is available with a choice between two extremely reliable staple guns. The primary air supply is also regulated and traps moisture.
The Production Series is a standard feature and is only available with the 72" & 96" models.

Loneliness, like chronic stress, taxes the immune system
2013-01-20
COLUMBUS, Ohio – New research links loneliness to a number of dysfunctional immune responses, suggesting that being lonely has the potential to harm overall health.
Researchers found that people who were more lonely showed signs of elevated latent herpes virus reactivation and produced more inflammation-related proteins in response to acute stress than did people who felt more socially connected.
These proteins signal the presence of inflammation, and chronic inflammation is linked to numerous conditions, including coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, arthritis ...
From bullying to relationships: Mapping our online communications
2013-01-20
January 19, 2013 – New Orleans – When we typically think of kids who are the victims of school bullying, what comes to mind are isolated youth who do not fit in. A new study, however, shows that when that harassment occurs online, the victims tend to be in mainstream social groups at the school – and they are often friends or former friends, not strangers.
The research is part of a burgeoning field of study into the effects of social media on everyday relationships and behavior. Personality and social psychologists are finding surprising ways in which people's online ...
Wind in the willows boosts biofuel production
2013-01-20
Willow trees cultivated for 'green energy' can yield up to five times more biofuel if they grow diagonally, compared with those that are allowed to grow naturally up towards the sky.
This effect had been observed in the wild and in plantations around the UK, but scientists were previously unable to explain why some willows produced more biofuel than others.
Now British researchers have identified a genetic trait that causes this effect and is activated in some trees when they sense they are at an angle, such as where they are blown sideways in windy conditions.
