Four Colorado Governors to Take the Stage at Denver Press Club Gridiron Show Set for October 29

The Denver Press Club (DPC) will hold its annual Gridiron Show on Friday, October 29, with dinner at 6 p.m. and showtime at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Denver Marriott City Center. The deadline to buy tickets is Monday, October 25.

For the first time ever at the Gridiron Show, four Colorado governors - Gov. Bill Ritter and former governors Bill Owens, Dick Lamm and Roy Romer -- will share the stage, talking/singing their way through a humorous song.

The Denver Press Club (DPC) will hold its annual Gridiron Show on Friday, October 29, with dinner at 6 p.m. and showtime at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Denver Marriott City Center. The deadline to buy tickets is Monday, October 25.

The Gridiron show is a showcase of local performers, journalists, politicians and Denver Press Club members, who present a hilarious skewering of local and national political and cultural happenings - mostly in song, plus a fake newscast. The original performance was held in 1946, and its current run has been an annual occurrence since 2000 (except 2001).

On stage this year, besides the governors: Mayor John Hickenlooper and his band, KMGH-TV's Mike Landess, Rocky Mountain PBS' Cynthia Hessin, Don Mares of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the Denver Business Journal's Bruce Goldberg, the Aurora Daily Sentinel's Adam Goldstein, Fred Brown, Sari Padorr, Edie Sonn, Ruth Darling-Goldberg, Steve Koenigsberg, Tom Corona, 9News' TaRhonda Thomas, CBS News correspondent Barry Petersen, mayoral candidate James Mejia and CBS4's Jim Benemann, Gloria Neal and Greg Moody.

Tickets to the show cost $90 ($80 for Denver Press Club members) and include dinner. You can purchase tickets at http://www.blacktie-colorado.com, by clicking on October 29. Sponsor opportunities are available and include a reserved table for ten with signage. The sponsorship levels are bronze $1,200, silver $1,700, and gold $2,200.
