RALEIGH, NC, January 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) As the largest locally owned fitness company in North Carolina, O2 Fitness takes its commitment to its members and the community very seriously. O2 Fitness is kicking off 2013 in a big way with the launch of a brand new rewards program for its members and is also proud to announce that it donated nearly $150,000 in memberships to more than 100 nonprofit organizations in 2012.
Since its launch more than a decade ago, O2 Fitness has become an integral part of the communities in which it operates. Nearly $150,000 in memberships was donated to local nonprofits such as the Foundation of Hope for Research and Treatment of Mental Illness, Frankie Lemmon and The Salvation Army last year. O2 Fitness has plans to continue giving back in the New Year.
"In our 10 years of serving the community, we have been fortunate to be in a position to donate time, money and resources to many great causes and organizations," said Michael D. Olander Jr., President and CEO of O2 Fitness Clubs. "We look forward to continuing and building on that trend for years to come."
O2 Fitness is also giving back to its members through a new rewards program. By awarding points to members for checking into the club, referring friends who join, completing personal training sessions, tweeting about their experience at O2 Fitness and more, the program incentivizes members to frequently visit the clubs. There are also opportunities for members to receive bonus points for completing specific activities, such as joining the rewards program and checking into O2 Fitness 10 times in one calendar month. The program encourages members to take full advantage of their memberships by becoming involved, dedicated clients.
Members are able to redeem rewards points for popular perks, such as SHOP gift cards to O2 Fitness' new online store, as well as free personal training sessions, massages, sunless tanning, Custom Fit Meals, one-year memberships and much more.
"We're happy to reward people for becoming involved members at the clubs in their communities," said Shanna Kane, director of marketing for O2 Fitness. "Our staff goes the extra mile to make members feel welcome and comfortable at each of the clubs, which is a big part of what sets O2 Fitness apart from the competition."
O2 Fitness will also host its third Shape Up Downtown series offering free outdoor group fitness classes to the downtown Raleigh community throughout April. The classes will be held in City Plaza, giving the downtown community access to convenient classes and the opportunity to get moving this spring. All classes, including Zumba, Yoga, Body Pump and more, will be free and open to the public.
O2 Fitness provides its members with a welcoming, motivating and clean environment, along with high-energy group fitness classes and inspiring personal training sessions. There are 10 O2 Fitness clubs located throughout Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Fuquay-Varina and Wilmington.
Membership to all of O2 Fitness' locations includes two free personal training sessions. Memberships range from a standard 12-month agreement to no contract, month-to-month options, family packages and corporate wellness programs.
