NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX, February 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) J. Val Hastings, Founder and President of Philadelphia-based Coaching4Clergy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Larry Perkins as Regional Coach Training Director of the new Texas Regional Coach Training Center in North Richland Hills, Texas. Perkins has 43 years of experience in local churches and nine years as Director of Church Development/Growth and Administration in an association of 100+ Baptist churches in southeast Texas, among other accomplishments. The formal announcement of the new Regional Director will be made on February 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. during the upcoming Coaching4Clergy Professional Coach Training onsite workshop, which runs from February 4 - 7 in North Richland Hills.
The workshop, a first of its kind in the area, is entitled "Professional Coach Training: Developing Ministry Excellence and Effectiveness." It is designed for church leaders, pastors, ministry staff, and others who struggle to effectively lead their ministry. The comprehensive program http://tinyurl.com/av5xfwe includes four modules--Coaching Foundations, Coaching Implementation, Advanced Development, and Coaching Mastery, each of which prepares the student to apply for their ACC and/or PCC accreditation. Even those who already have ACC accreditation from another organization can participate and best yet, the course is for all who desire more assistance with their coaching whether looking for accreditation or not.
Training for pastors and other church and ministry leaders and staff equips those who attend with a better understanding and the skills necessary to be effective leaders. The seminar provides the 8 building blocks of coaching, how to operate effectively on a shrinking budget in order to achieve the church's goals and vision, and so much more. Additionally, the workshop will allow the pastors an opportunity to receive dedicated one-on-one time to share their challenges and receive the coaching and support they need to help them best serve their congregation. This nuts and bolts approach and step-by-step program will empower those who attend to be the best they can be as they lead and assist others.
Hastings states, "As a coach, I help people get the results they want by bringing out the best in them. Coaching isn't about fixing people or solving problems, rather, coaching is a developmental or discovery-based process. Similar to athletic coaches, we further develop the skill and talent already inherent in the people we coach."
