CORALVILLE, IA, February 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) For the seventh year in a row, Pancheros Mexican Grill (www.pancheros.com), has officially teamed up with University of Iowa for their annual Dance Marathon, donating over 1,800 burritos to the event. Benefiting the pediatric cancer unit of the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Pancheros will be fueling hungry dancers with their legendary burrito creations on February 1, 2013.
Famous for their signature fresh-pressed tortillas and mouthwatering burritos, Pancheros provides a distinctive Mexican dining experience for its customers. Each burrito masterpiece is carefully crafted with a special tool known as "Bob the Tool", a small plastic spatula, to provide guests with a well-balanced burrito that has all of the flavorful ingredients in each bite. Other fan favorites include: quesadillas, tacos, burrito bowls and salads, all of which are made with freshly grilled meats and vegetables.
"Pancheros is honored to be able to work with the University of Iowa again to feed hungry dancers and motivate them to raise even more money for such a worthy cause," said Rodney Anderson, President of Pancheros Mexican Grill. "Having such strong ties to Iowa, we could not be happier to give back to a community, which has some of our biggest burrito supporters."
"Pancheros has been a dedicated and charitable sponsor to Dance Marathon for the past seven years, feeding 2,000 dancers annually," said Sarah Brumwell, Associate Director of Children's Miracle Network. "We are so thankful for their partnership."
Since 1994, The University of Iowa Dance Marathon has been committed to raising money to benefit children battling pediatric cancer at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Last year the event raised a record-breaking $1,220,146.17, with plans of only surpassing that number this year. Recently, the University of Iowa Dance Marathon pledged to donate $5 million dollars over a ten-year period to help fund a new building for the hospital.
