CINCINNATI, OH, February 04, 2013 (Press-News.org) Nonprofit organization Rock 'n Aspire of Cincinnati, whose mission is to create a world free of Multiple Sclerosis, is tapping into their Facebook fan base with apps aimed at bringing in more funding for the cause. The organization has teamed up with CoupSmart, a leader in social media marketing solutions, to ensure their fans get involved in the annual musical event. CoupSmart's Smart Deals app is providing the technology behind this push.
After deciding that they wanted social media to play a larger role in their marketing strategy, Rock 'n Aspire needed a way to drive more traffic to their Facebook page and have the ability to move their fans to action right there from the page. Smart Deals is one of several CoupSmart offerings used by social media managers to drive recurring revenue from Facebook fan pages. The app was built to deliver trackable digital-to-print coupons to fans in a social and shareable way that motivates purchase. While CoupSmart has proven effectiveness for business, it is now proud to also provide social engagement and monetization in the nonprofit space.
"We're always looking for new ways to promote the event and raise funds for MS", says Simcha Kackley of Rock 'n Aspire. "The CoupSmart app lives on our Facebook page and collects the kind of insightful data we need to reach donors effectively, so we knew it was the tool for us."
Rock 'n Aspire has two exclusive offers posted on their Facebook page for the upcoming event. One is for 2 raffle tickets. The other is a discount on their official event t-shirt. Both are printable vouchers which must be redeemed at the event itself. Rock 'n Aspire's annual Cincinnati music benefit with proceeds benefiting the National MS Society will be held February 9th, 2013 at 20th Century Theater. More information can be found on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/rocknaspire
"The move into working with nonprofits was very natural", says Blake Shipley, founder and CEO of CoupSmart. "Our technology works well across industries. Our social apps motivate action through incentive and exclusivity. The only difference between for-profit and nonprofit is where the money goes in the end. Instead of a brand delivering coupons and selling items right on their Facebook page, our apps pull in donations through special items and fund drives. We've been wanting to extend our capabilities to nonprofits, and with Rock n' Aspire we are getting that chance."
