Cloud computing - how can users separate the hype from reality
Presented by Aruba, Cisco, EMC, F5, Juniper and SMX
The IT industry has spent more time over the past year talking about clouds than the Bureau of Meteorology. Some see cloud computing as the way ahead for IT service delivery. They argue that it will enable CIOs to be more efficient as they can scale up and down their IT resources according to business demand. Others contend that issues like security, training, pricing models and performance need to be addressed before CIOs are likely to fully embrace cloud computing. This panel discussion will examine both sides of these arguments, and plenty in-between, to allow the audience to assess whether cloud computing is a realistic solution for a CIO today.

Has too much choice made business communication more difficult?
Presented by Avaya, Cisco, Check Point, McAfee, Palo Alto Networks
Technology has increasingly facilitated the ability of business to communicate with their staff, customers and partners through a variety of channels. Yet while this poses many opportunities for more insightful dialogue it also poses significant potential security risks. This panel discussion will look at the strengths and weaknesses of emerging communication mediums and technologies like social media, unified communications and high definition video conferencing with a particular focus on how to address potential security challenges they might present. The dialogue aims to help define where the panellists believe each is most applicable and where an alternative approach may be more appropriate.
