ORANGE, CA, February 16, 2013 (Press-News.org) When the Broward County Sheriff's Office found Florida-resident Joy Stewart and her four grandchildren living in a home with no heat, running water, electricity or food, they called on the community for help. Budget Blinds is pitching in to answer that call, through a partnership with the hit national home improvement show Designing Spaces . With the help of Budget Blinds, other national companies and Broward County organizations such as Rebuilding Together , the Broward County Sherriff's Office, and the emergency shelter Kids In Distress, where Joy's grandchildren had been housed until she was able to bring them home, the Dream Team at Designing Spaces is remodeling and furnishing the Stewart Family's home room by room.
Budget Blinds' franchisee and in-home design expert Connie Bolton is managing the design and installation of child-friendly and fashionable window coverings throughout the Stewart Family home.
"With four grandchildren living in the home, it was important that we used only safe, cordless, and child-friendly window coverings for this project," said Bolton of Budget Blinds.
This project is one of 3 segments in which Budget Blinds will partner with Lifetime network's Designing Spaces, to design and install fashionable and functional window coverings to meet the needs of a variety of environments. Each segment is guaranteed to air 6 times in 2013. Designing Spaces is the signature home improvement series that travels across the country refining and redesigning space. Each 30-minute episode explores topics and consumer home trends to inspire viewers to tackle their own home improvement and decorating challenges with easy, fashionable and functional solutions.
"Budget Blinds is thrilled for the opportunity to be featured on Designing Spaces and position our incredibly knowledgeable and experienced Franchisees as experts in window coverings, especially when it comes to providing solutions for every homeowner on any budget," stated Chad Hallock, CEO and Founder of Home Franchise Concepts and Budget Blinds. Is Poetry Still For Lovers?
2013-02-16
"Is poetry still for lovers?" asks inspirational author and first time published poet Justin C. Hart. "If you ask me," he continues, "the fiery love and passion burning within today's poets have somehow decreased to a mere billow of smoke." On Hart's behalf, he might be right. There was a time in poetic history when poetry was its own language. Considering the liberty of publication in the 21st century, there are currently more writers than ever before, but is poetry still a language of its own? Are poets still romantically passionate about ...
