COLUMBIA, SC, February 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) On February 19, 2013, Advantage Health Systems, Inc. filed a for a Temporary Restraining Order to prevent the sale of the CarePro Home Health & Hospice Divisions of Addus HomeCare, Inc. to the LHG Group, Inc. These assets were purchased from Advantage in July 2010. Advantage asserts that with the sell, Addus is refusing to uphold its financial and contractual obligations. Advantage President, Paul Mitchell stated, "Addus has taken a bullish approach in its refusal to fairly settle their disagreements by using lengthy manipulative legal antics. Addus' actions have resulted in mounting legal fees and that Addus is ultimately flexing their financial prowess over a small business." Mitchell further explained that the proposed sale amounts to an egregious breach of its contract that was signed with them in July 2010.
Advantage further asserts that beyond the fact that Addus has not lived up to their financial and contractual obligations, their business practices have damaged Advantage's reputation of providing quality, affordable health care services. Mitchell says, "We are eager to resolving this situation in a fair, equitable, and expedited manner."
