Murata Machinery's Fabrication Division Hires Dan Baker as New Central Regional Sales Manager

Murata Machinery USA, Inc. has hired Dan Baker as Central Regional Sales Manager. Baker comes to Murata with a strong background in maintenance, scheduling, field service and training within the machine-tool industry.

HICKORY, NC, February 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Murata Machinery USA, Inc. has hired Dan Baker as Central Regional Sales Manager, filling the position vacated by Cary Teeple. Baker comes to Murata with a strong background in maintenance, scheduling, field service and training within the machine-tool industry, most recently acting as a sales manager for a major tooling company.

"We are grateful that Dan has become part of our team," said Teeple, who now is Sales Manager - Fabrication Products, "he has exceptional application knowledge and great people skills."

Baker's region includes all of the central United States, a key area for growth in the industrial manufacturing sector, as well as Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada. "Murata customers in the midwest will be well served by Dan's addition," said Teeple.

"Manufacturing should be very strong this year," Baker said, "I'm happy to be here, and ready to take on the challenge of growing sales in the central region."

Charlotte-based Murata Machinery USA, Inc. specializes in applications, service and sales of turret punch presses under the Muratec brand. Murata's fabrication division, formerly Murata Wiedemann, supplies mechanical, servo-drive laser hybrid, and punch/plasma hybrid turret punch presses.
