RALEIGH, NC, March 01, 2013 (Press-News.org) Terramor Homes (http://www.terramorhomes.com/), a local premier home building company in the Triangle, has pledged to raise $120,000 for the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center and will build the organizations' 2014 Miracle Home. Through their "Touch of Hope Program," Terramor Homes will raise the money through partnerships with trade partners, vendors, homeowners and families.
The 2014 Miracle Home will be located within Cary, N.C.'s Cameron Pond Community at 744 Magalloway Dr. The company plans to break ground in early March. Proceeds from the home's sale will be donated to Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center.
Terramor associates volunteered their time at the 19th Annual MIX 101.5 Radiothon Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., during which they unveiled the 2014 Miracle Home announcement live on the air with Bill and Lynda in the Morning.
The funds raised during the event are used to further support the diligent work within the medical and surgical programs housed at Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center. This fundraiser is one of the few Children's Miracle Network radiothons that structures their sponsorship so that every dollar raised goes directly towards meeting the needs of hospitalized children. This annual event is the single largest fundraiser for Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center, and has raised over $15 million in the past 19 years, donating $1,122,416 this year.
QUOTES:
"Raising funds through the Radiothon and the 2014 Miracle Home for Duke Children's Hospital and Health Care Center will be the biggest charity event Terramor Homes has ever been a part of," said Pablo Reiter, Terramor Homes president. "We feel fortunate to live and work in a community like the Triangle that values great causes like the Duke Children's Hospital. As a locally-operated company, we plan to do whatever we can to support this charity."
