World of Beer Brewing Next Location in Key West

TAMPA, FL, March 09, 2013 (Press-News.org) World of Beer (WOB), a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of brews from around the globe, will open its doors in Key West on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the new bar located at 511 Greene Street. This location is half a block off of Duval Street, right in the heart of the Key West entertainment district, and the opening comes just in time for Spring Break visitors and the popular St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Local Owner/Operator Craig Wynn and his partners and friends Brendan and Carole Rennert fell in love with World of Beer as customers at the original Westchase location in Tampa. Wynn's love of the concept then led him to work internally as Director of Business Development, and then on to CFO of World of Beer Franchising, Inc. The friends always loved World of Beer's neighborhood bar atmosphere, and are extremely excited to open in their favorite city as local owner/operators.

"I have enjoyed watching the World of Beer culture grow during my time with the franchise company," said Craig Wynn, Owner/Operator of World of Beer Key West. "To be able to move to Key West and share World of Beer and its culture with locals and visitors is really something special."

The Key West location will feature indoor and outdoor seating and a food offering that complements the product. Food at World of Beer will also be available through a delivery arrangement with local partnering restaurants.

Patrons will choose from approximately 600 bottled beers and over 60 rotating taps. The bar will also feature areas dedicated to Florida breweries such as Cigar City and Mile Marker Brewing. A specially trained staff who has completed an extensive, two-week beer school will be on hand to skillfully guide customers through the World of Beer experience centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports.

WOB Key West is the first of its kind south of Miami. The Key West location will attract a large crowd, as it is a year-round international tourist destination. Being a neighborhood concept, WOB also plans to offer Key West residents a Local's Discount. WOB will also have standard weekly specials. Monday nights will be Service Industry Night (SIN), with discounts for the island's many hospitality workers. Tuesdays will feature specials for WOB Loyalty Program members all day long. Wednesdays WOB will offer specials for college students. Thursdays WOB will host a Ladies Night. Also on Thursdays, WOB will have draft specials for military and first responders, although military and first responders always will always receive a discount on tabs. And in keeping with Key West and WOB Culture, World of Beer Key West will have daily live music.

Though opening in March, World of Beer Key West will host an official Grand Opening Weekend Celebration April 5-7, 2013.
