DUBLIN, IRELAND, March 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Managing Director of Mahon Enterprises Ltd Darren Mahon reports that Dublin city has already seen an increase of enquires about the festival, since as early as last week, to its city centre Ambassadors and Information Kiosks, (located at the top of Grafton Street, at the Molly Malone Statute and O'Connell Street near the Spire). St. Patrick's festival is one of their busiest weeks of the year other than Christmas week. Darren reveals that Dublin is expecting over 500,000 people in Dublin on the 17th to watch the parade, 250,000 of which have flown in on holiday.

Darren comments "To kick-off the five-day festival there are funfairs, exhibitions, music, walking tours, Irish music and ceilí with the trad stage and festival ceili as well as the famous St. Patrick's Day parade. I would encourage all to get out there and enjoy the Irish culture. It is important for everyone to enjoy the festivities, learning Irish heritage and getting involved with the fun."
With Saint Patrick's Day becoming a bigger celebration every year, Mahon Enterprises Ltd believes that there will be a significant increase in footfall this year. Dublin City BID, who monitor and track the footfall in the city centre through its network of specialised cameras, said the week of St. Patrick's Festival can see footfall figures climb from 2.8 million on a normal week to 3.4 million, a massive increase of 21%. Darren Mahon comments, "This week is hugely significant for Irish business, 53% of businesses will report up to a 65% increase in sales over the long weekend."
Darren reveals that he will be celebrating the holiday by heading into Dublin city centre with his family and business colleagues to engage in the festivities. Darren comments, "I have invited some international business colleagues to spend the day with myself and my family. I am planning to bring them to some of Dublin's most iconic landmarks, relay some of Irish history, watch the parade and end the day by bringing them to some of the oldest city bars."
