NEWARK, DE, March 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) You work hard to provide the best for your family. Why not provide the best opportunity for a beautiful smile? At Honig Orthodontics a healthy smile is something that will be valued for a lifetime. You receive the best care available today in orthodontics when we work together as a team.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that most children should have an orthodontic screening by age 7, but braces are a healthy investment no matter what your age. Early diagnosis and treatment can guide erupting teeth into a more favorable position, preserve space for permanent teeth, and reduce the likelihood of fracturing protruded front teeth.
In fact, if early treatment is indicated, Dr. Honig can guide the growth of the jaw and incoming permanent teeth. Early treatment can also regulate the width of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for permanent teeth, avoid the need for permanent tooth extractions, reduce the likelihood of impacted permanent teeth, correct thumb sucking, and eliminate abnormal swallowing or speech problems.
Not Just for Kids
Orthodontics is not just for children and teens. In fact, 1 in every 5 patients in orthodontic treatment is an adult. No one is too old for orthodontic treatment. Adults seek orthodontic treatment for many of the same reasons as children. Some adults had orthodontic problems as children but were unable to correct them until now. Others, who had treatment as children, may need further treatment as adults due to relapse or limitations in initial treatment.
Types of Braces
Thanks to today's advances in orthodontic technology, Dr. Gordon Honig can provide our patients with more options when it comes to wearing braces than ever before. While regular metal braces are still widely used, clear braces are becoming increasingly popular along with removable appliances that can be used for mild cases of misaligned teeth. Please see below or ask us to learn more about the types of braces we offer at our office. You need to speak with Dr. Honig to determine which appliance is right for you.
Invisible Braces (Clear Correct)
Clear appliances use a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. And, no one can tell you are wearing those aligners because they are invisible! Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
Invisalign
Invisalign uses the latest 3D computer technology to create your customized aligners. First, we work with you here in our office to determine what needs to be corrected. Then, we take impressions of your teeth. Next, we send Invisalign your impressions and customized treatment plan. Invisalign uses advanced computer technology to finely calibrate a sequence of aligners. Depending on the treatment plan we develop, this could mean as few as 10 or as many as 30 aligners.
You'll wear each aligner for about two weeks, taking it out for eating, brushing, and flossing. As you replace each aligner with the next, your teeth gradually move into the final alignment prescribed by Dr. Honig. Office visits are required approximately every ten to twelve weeks.

Brain Relativity Answers the Problems of Language Evolution
2013-03-24
Language universals are due to "brain relativity" and have little to do with different languages evolving with the same structures independently. According to the theory of relativity both space and time are relative to one another. Relativity predicts that when brains arise they will be automatically wired in the relativity of space/time in order to navigate the world in which these brains exist. You need to, within a time frame of now, see things as now and in the order of their happenings. The brain sees things in relative space/time terms!
This predicts ...

Both the crane operator and the contractor received citations as a result of the Queens crane accident. Buildings Department officials reported that the contractor was responsible for failing to properly ...

Longshore and harbor workers have rights when injured on the job
In 1927 Congress passed the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act, a comprehensive workers' compensation system for those who are injured while working near navigable waters. Lawmakers recognized that some maritime workers who were injured were falling through the cracks. They did not meet the definition of "seamen" for purposes of filing claims under the Jones Act and also did not qualify for benefits under the various states' workers' compensation systems. Those who work in the maritime ...
