CHORLEY, ENGLAND, October 27, 2010 (Press-News.org) Here one of our happy customers, Keith Wright, tells us all about his recent five-day break to the wonderful Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl, South Wales.
"After an easy transit journey to Burtonwood, myself and 25 fellow holidaymakers met up with Christine Martin, our Alfa Travel tour driver. A short journey along the M5 brought us to the Seabank Hotel at around 3:30pm, where we were warmly welcomed by the hotel manager. There was just enough time to settle in and have a quick look around town before dinner and the evening's entertainment.
"The following day we were taken on an excursion to nearby Cardiff. A local tour guide joined us outside Cardiff Castle and gave us an excellent tour of the city, from the Millennium Stadium to the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay, along with many historical landmarks. After lunch we drove to the impressive St. Fagan's Castle, and the St. Fagan's Natural History Museum; an open air museum across 100 acres, featuring 30 reconstructed buildings from all over Wales.
"Next was our day of leisure, which included an optional excursion of an afternoon trip to Carmarthen. We were provided with packed lunches for the 45-minute journey, and our afternoon was spent getting to know this interesting town, before returning to the Seabank Hotel in time for dinner.
"Day three saw us heading for the beautiful Gower peninsular, where we spent some time in Mumbles, a traditional seaside resort in the Victorian era. From there it was on to Swansea, which boasts the National Waterfront Museum, the remains of a castle, and a lovely centre dedicated to Dylan Thomas.
"I didn't know much about South Wales before this trip. In its quiet, efficient way, Alfa changed that. Their drivers are always knowledgeable and friendly, and Chris, our driver for this trip, was no exception. As for Porthcawl, the Seabank Hotel is friendly, warm and comfortable.
"Once again, Alfa Travel has hit the jackpot."
The Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl is one of the newest additions to Alfa Travel's stunning portfolio of British hotels, provided through their sister company, Leisureplex. This eye-catching hotel is the one of the most prominent buildings in Porthcawl, with stunning views of both the Bristol Channel and the South Wales coast available from the hotel bar.
