ROCKVILLE, MD, October 27, 2010 (Press-News.org) Micro Focus (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing and management solutions, today announced the appointment of four director-level employees, responsible for supporting the company's expanding presence in the federal government space: Scott Monfredo, Sales Director; Joseph Lutz, Director of Federal Sales; Daren Bush, Sr. Director of Federal Civilian; and Jim "JR" Reinertsen, Director of Business Development and Civilian Sales. Combined, these new sales directors will bring decades of federal expertise to the Micro Focus team. This strategic move follows a significant expansion of Micro Focus's headquarters in Rockville, MD - only a few Metro stops from the nation's capitol.

Scott Monfredo joins Micro Focus from IBM, where he served for over 14 years in management and sales roles. While at IBM, Scott received several recognitions, including IBM's prestigious Gold Circle award. Scott earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and holds Secret clearance within the Intelligence Community. Joseph Lutz brings more than a decade of government sales and management experience to Micro Focus, joining the company from BMC Software, where he was responsible for helping guide the company's federal government sales. Joseph holds a BA from the University of New Hampshire. Daren Bush is a graduate of Howard University with more than 14 years of sales experience within the commercial and federal civilian arena, having served at organizations including Oracle Corporation, SAP and most recently at Cap Gemini. Jim "JR" Reinertsen joins Micro Focus from EMC, where he was responsible for managing alliances and channels for the company's federal software division. Prior to EMC, JR served at Microsoft for more than 11 years in various field management roles, covering federal and commercial arenas. JR holds a BS from Old Dominion University.
