HOUSTON, TX, August 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) Alongside delivering quality TIBCO consulting services, Xmarter, Inc., an information technology consulting firm in Asia, also strengthens its community outreach programs as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Last June 18, 2010, the company conducted an outreach activity at the Bacolod Girls' Home Foundation, Inc. (BGHF). Located in Bacolod City, Philippines, BGHF is a non-government organization in the Philippines that provides temporary shelter to orphaned, neglected, abandoned, and exploited girls.
"Certainly, our company puts utmost focus in delivering to our clients the services of Asia's finest TIBCO consultants. We have been blessed with a flourishing business in I.T. consulting, and it would be a shame if we do not share our blessings with those who are less fortunate around us," CEO Jazon Samillano said.
The activity consisted of a self-development lecture delivered by one of Xmarter's consultants on the topic of taking 100% responsibility of your life. The Xmarter staff, afterwards, conducted games and fellowship sessions with the orphans. At the conclusion of the events, the management of the company officially turned over one unit of refrigerator as a donation to the orphanage.
Ellen Lagatapon, the orphanage director, thanked the employees and management of Xmarter, Inc. for the time and resources that were extended to them. She wrote, "We would like to acknowledge and extend to you our profound gratitude for your donation. Your evident concern and act of charity inspire us in looking after the well-being of the needy children placed under our care."

Florida Author Encourages Teen Reading
2010-08-23
With the new age of video games and MP3 players reading is becoming something fewer teens enjoy. In fact, when asking her teenage son who might be interested in a copy of her book, he said, "Mom, we watch movies nowadays. Nobody reads." This is a sad thing for Kelly as an author to hear, not only because it is a passion of hers, but because reading opens new worlds and offers hours of escape with education built in along the way.
