HERTFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND, April 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Scott joins Shires Funeral Directors from another CPJ Field & Co company, Deric Scott, based in Bournemouth, where he worked as a Funeral Director. He has been with CPJ Field & Co since January 2012 and prior to this has over 30 years of experience in various managerial roles.
CPJ Field & Co acquired the six funeral homes in June 2012 following the collapse into administration of their former owner, Independent Funeral Homes Ltd, and Scott oversaw the acquisition process between July and September, including the rebranding of the branches, as well as the recruitment of 12 new members of staff.
Commenting on his appointment, Bill Scott, Principal Funeral Director at Shires Funeral Directors, said: "I am looking forward to the challenge of my new role as part of the team at Shires Funeral Directors and to establish a positive relationship with the local community. I get great satisfaction from working within the funeral profession and look forward to continuing to help families personalise farewells for their loved ones in my new role."
Jeremy Field, Chief Operating Officer at CPJ Field & Co, commented: "We are thrilled that Bill has agreed to take on the role of Principal Funeral Director at Shires Funeral Directors. We are confident that Bill, along with his colleagues, will continue to support and grow within the local community.
"This is the latest development in putting the business back on its feet following the several years of uncertainty that led to it entering administration. Since taking the funeral homes into the wider CPJ Field family of businesses, we have invested heavily in improving our facilities and adding a distinctive fleet of silver funeral vehicles. This investment allows us to ensure that we can provide the very best care and support to the bereaved of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
