MARION, OH, April 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Two United Church Homes-affiliated communities in Ohio have received the highest ratings in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Nursing Homes" survey.
United Church Homes' Trinity Community in Beavercreek and BrookHaven Retirement Community in Brookville, which is owned by Brookville Enterprises and managed by United Church Homes, received five-star ratings that are assessed in three categories: nursing and physical therapy staff, state-conducted health inspections and quality of care.
The assessments are based on data collected annually by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The Rev. Kenneth Daniel, president and CEO of United Church Homes, anticipates more of its affiliated communities will earn high rankings in future surveys.
"We are honored to have two of our affiliated communities recognized for their advancement in the mission of our organization — to deliver high-quality, compassionate service," he said.
BrookHaven Retirement and Trinity Community are full-service senior living communities offering retirement living cottages, residential living apartments, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, assisted living and skilled nursing services.
For the survey, U.S. News rated more than 15,000 communities nationwide. The report aims to help families find the best care for their loved ones and is available online at: http://www.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes.
United Church Homes has been "Celebrating the Spirit" of older adults for nearly a century. The nonprofit, faith-based senior living organization based in Marion, Ohio, serves more than 3,500 seniors in 66 communities located in more than a dozen states nationwide.
