Bucks County Marketing and PR Firm Supports Laurel House Shelter Charity Event

DOYLESTOWN, PA, April 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Furia Rubel Communications, Inc, a strategic planning, marketing and public relations agency in Bucks County, Pa., will be sponsoring the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes charity event which will be held on May 4, 2013 at Farm Park in Norristown, Pa. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Laurel House Shelter of Montgomery County, Pa., a nonprofit organization that has provided a safe and secure refuge for victims of abuse and their children for the last 33 years.

The international event, created by Frank Baird in 2001, encourages men to walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes to protest rape, sexual assault and gender violence. The walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. with check-in at 9 a.m. and opening remarks at 10 a.m. Registration for the event is $50 per walk participant - due by Apr. 13, 2013.
